On Friday, 6th of March, it was a cold, rainy World Day of Prayer. Planning to walk to St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, pssh! We piled into our teachers' cars and sped along the drippy, slushy road.
When we arrived at the Church, we were ushered in and sat down on some comfy chairs. Uh-oh! Time for the play to commence!
I eyed the lectern and worries crowded my mind. Would I be too short to reach the microphone? Would it make one of those screeches that makes everyone cringe? Well, no time for doubt now, I was going up!
Okay, so far so good. Palu, who played Jesus, was remembering all her lines, and when it came to the re-enactment of the washing of the feet, I timed my lines correctly, as one of the narrators of the play, and the knot in my stomach loosened, and all of the butterflies fluttered away.
All of the Caring Community loved our play, and we ended the morning with a delectable snack! Mmm mmm!
Maya I really like your World Day of Prayer story with all your capturing words and features. I also like your background and biography because it tells me a lot of whoo you are!
